In September we gathered at the AMCS to load the bus with women to go save some of the Devil's Club that was in a location marked for clear cutting. We were able to harvest quite a bit and women got to take some home and we were taught how to identify and how to prepare the branches to remove the bark that would be used for teas, and salves. The remaining stick was cut into shorter pieces for making beads for bracelets and necklaces too.
We were able to gather the following week to make the bracelets, with Leona Brown who also took us to the location to gather the medicine the week before.
We will be adding a Devils Club Salve Making to our journey. Please follow our Facebook Page to stay connected
